Sanyo 的 Xacti 系列口袋型攝影機一向都有不錯的評價，這次在 CES 上面推出的 VPC-CS1，不僅是有著 1080p Full HD 的攝錄能力，機身最厚的地方也不過 1.06 吋（約 2.7 公分）。

攝錄的格式方面，目前有 MPEG-4 AVC、H.264，未來通過認證後，也會納入 iFrame 格式；靜態攝影則是有八百萬畫素，十倍光學變焦，檔案儲存將會支援超高容量的 SDXC 記憶卡， SD、SDHC 卡應該也可以吧？

此次的產品追加了Eye-Fi卡聯動功能。具體包括：在攝影機機身上設定接入點，以及根據電池餘量是否充足及有否連接AC轉接器來自動停止數據傳輸的電源管理功能。比如，當電池餘量只剩約10％時就會停止傳輸。這樣，可防止數據在傳輸中因電池電壓下降而遭到破壞。追加電源管理功能是由於數據傳輸中存在耗電量增大的問題。耗電量因使用條件以及傳輸的數據而異，但無線傳輸視訊的耗電量與拍攝所需的差不多

創立於2005年的美國記憶卡公司Eye-Fi，推出搭載Wi-Fi無線功能SD (Secure Digital)卡的構想來自現任CPO (Chief Product Officer)—Yuval Koren，其動機始於2004年友人嫌麻煩而未依約上傳相片的某場婚宴，2007年6月取得OpusCapital及ShastaVentures 2家公司550萬美元投資後，2007年12月終於在美國推出Eye-Fi無線SD卡系列。

Eye-Fi無線SD卡依功能不同，分成Eye-Fi Home、Eye-Fi Share及Eye-Fi Explore等3款，Eye-Fi Home僅能將相片上傳至家用PC；Eye-Fi Share還能將相片上傳至Facebook、Flickr等網路相簿的功能；最高階的Eye-Fi Explore則可使用編輯相片或加入定位標籤(Geotag)等進階功能。

Eye-Fi並於2009年4月針對DV推出可上傳動畫檔案的Eye-Fi Share Video。Eye-Fi卡是一種由美國Eye-Fi開發、內建無線LAN功能的SD記憶體卡。Eye-Fi Share 2GB可以上傳照片，而Eye-Fi Share Video 4GB除照片外還可上傳視訊。

上市時間跟售價方面，預計會在二月左右，然後售價為三百多美元。

Product development for the Xacti series has been carried out with an emphasis on a compact design that can be taken anywhere and anytime, using the concept of a handy device for recording the moments of daily life.

In order to make the new Xacti even more compact than previous models, SANYO has developed a slim sensor module and a new super slim lens.

With its compact size (approx. 126 cc in volume), lightweight design (approx. 142 g), and slim body (27 mm in thickness) for superior portability, the VPC-CS1 is a new style of video camera that will radically expand the situations where it can be used.

Easily captures beautiful Full HD*2 videos

Not only it features a super slim and compact body, but also the VPC-CS1 can capture Full HD videos with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels.

The video format used for this model is MPEG-4 AVC / H.264, which is easy to use on PC and Internet environments, as it is a single file format, similar to the one used for still photos. This format is fully supported by the latest Windows® OS, Windows 7*4, which was launched in October 2009.

Consequently, video files are displayed in the same thumbnail format as still picture files, and they can also be played back directly with Windows Media Player, and editable with Windows Live Movie Maker*5, and are Device Stage compatible. This makes the files even more convenient for use on computers.

Sound Zoom function enables clear sound recordings according to the scene

Sound is an important element for increasing the realism of videos. The VPC-CS1 has three microphone modes for recording clear sounds according to the scene and purpose.
(1) Wide Mode: Stereo recording with high channel separation (2) Gun Microphone Mode: Recording that focuses on sound emanating from the direction that the camera is pointing, while reducing sounds from other directions (3) Zoom Combination Mode: Automatically changes the directivity and sound gathering format according to the zoom positions
